Marc Jacobs to Launch Makeup Line

Not only is he launching his new Dot fragrance, but just in, Marc Jacobs is planning to create a makeup collection too! He recently revealed the exciting news during an interview with WWD about his new fragrance, Dot. 

He said, "Anything to me that is part of the joy, the ritual, of getting dressed - things that women enjoy like bags, shoes, fragrance, clothes, makeup - that's what fashion's about for me," he said. "I love the opportunity, wherever there is one, to adorn, to decorate, to scent, to dress. That's what fashion's all about. It's not necessary, it's something you want - it's a fancy and a whim."

Marc added, "I see makeup, fragrance - everything, really - as an opportunity. The idea of choosing a color for your lip, or an eyeliner - it's just such a delight. The ritual of waking up and making those choices is something people really enjoy. We currently are working on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics will be, what they'll say, what makes them distinctive. I think that will take some time, but the first meeting was good."

We're excited to see the next big thing!  Oh the suspense!

Givenchy Extends Skin Care

How exciting is this! We already are in love with Givenchy's fine skincare line, however it has been said that the luxury brand will be extending their skincare with the new Hydra Sparkling addition.  The skin care range will launch it's Mutiprotective Luminescense Moisturizing Fluid, containing 'Sparkling Water Complex', a patented concentrate of five complexes that promise to hydrate, plump, and brighten your skin. And that's not it! It gets better; the moisturizing fluid will protect against UV rays, free radicals, glycation and pollution, according to Givenchy.

Radiance and moisture are promised of this lovely moisturizing fluid and the natural ingredients include jasmine extract, sunflower extract and moringa. 

Thank goodness it's April, we wouldn't be able to wait any longer to try this one!

Bond No. 9 to launch I Love NY for Fathers and I Love NY for Marriage Equality

Is it just us or is Bond No. 9 in super duper creative mode with coming up with new fragrance launches? NOT that we are complaining, we're loving it!

Now, Bond No. 9 is set to launch two new fragrances for their I LOVE NY collection, I LOVE NY for Fathers and I LOVE NY for Marriage Equality.

I Love NY for Fathers is described by the company as "an easy-to-wear, easy-to-love fragrance. [The fragrance] celebrates the vivid, fast-paced, swashbuckling breed of male-ness that built and defined the Empire State."

I Love NY for Marriage Equality is described by the company as "An easy-to-wear, easy-to-love fragrance that honors New York proudly setting the global pace in celebrating love, marriage … and civil rights"

We love a fragrance with a great inspiration and supports equality!

Acqua Di Parma Opens in Milan

The boutique doors have been newly opened for this Italian luxury fragrance brand, Acqua di Parma, right in the heart of Milan. Milan, known as the 'fashion quadrilateral', is the perfect place for the new fragrance boutique home.

The store has been said to embody the brand's key qualities, elegance and Italian craftsmanship. Not only does the boutique feature designer wall coatings and hints of the brand's signature yellow color, but it also features the Barbiere Collection, where customers can sit back, relax, and experience a true shaving experience.

In celebration, the brand has re-released it's limited edition fragrance, Colonia, as well as ta jumbo cube candle.

Leighton Meester And Vera Wang Team Up For Cancer Awareness

They've done it before and they'll do it again! Leighton Meester and Vera Wang have worked together in the past.  Vera chose Ms. Meester to be the face of her Love Struck fragrance but this time around, they are teaming up again, only this time it's to join together to gain support for bone marrow donors!

Together, and with the teaming up of DKMS (the worlds largest bone marrow donor center), they've created the 'Share the Love' campaign. 
How to get involved? Purchase a Vera Wang fragrance at Macy's and you'll receive a 'Share the Love' t-shirt! How does Meester become a part of it all? The actress is the face of the charity's ad campaign, along with Keri Mullen, a 19-year old blood cancer survivor.

"Everyone wants a new car, a new phone, whatever. But the only thing someone who is ill wants is to survive," the actress said in the public service announcement for the campaign. "But I learned six out of ten people who have leukemia never find a matching donor. It's very difficult. So the more people that get swabs and the more people are willing to donate, the more people can survive."

Trend to Try: Scented Nail Polish

Retailers such as Revlon, Claire's, Forever 21, and Betsey Johnson for OPI have been creating an up and coming beauty trend...scented nail polish.  Dior even recently released a polish collection that will give off a faint rose scent after drying.  Crazy, right? Some of these scented polishes will leave your nails looking pretty and polished, plus smelling good for at least 1-3 days. 

We haven't tried this trend yet, but it's easy accessible and we're intrigued to say the least! Have you tried a scented nail polish before? Would you try it?

Luxury Hotel Offers 'Perfume Butler' service

Forget the fine dining and the butler offering wine, classy hors d'oeuvres and the elabroate room service, at this luxury hotel, you may request the 'perfume butler' service, at any time. Taking luxury to a whole new level, the Rosewood Hotel properties now offer the top notch perfume service.

The fact that perfumes are one of the most confiscated items at airport security, lots of travelers leave their favorite fragrances home.  The Rosewood Hotels and Resorts felt the need to come up with a solution for their paying guests.  They have introduced the dedicated fragrance butlers, for guests who want to 'freshen up in their rooms' with a complimentary, around-the-clock 'fragrance butler' service. The butler will appear at the door with 10 perfumes and colognes, only to be served on a silver tray, naturally.

Armani for UNICEF

What a beautiful thing!  Giorgio Armani parfums has collaborated with UNICEF to help raise awareness about the cause and will donate to supprt the US fund for UNICEF.  They will donate $1 to the US Fund for UNICEF for each Acqua di Gio Homme and Acqua di Gioia spray cologne or gift set, and 100% of the retail sales price, up to $15 per item.  Not only this, they will also donate $1 for the first 100,000 people who "LIKE' the Acqua for Life Facebook page. Days left to be a part of a beauitful, good cause!

Mischa Barton Launches Clothing E-Commerce Site

WOW! Who remembers Mischa Barton, the lovely girl who played Marissa Cooper on the TV series, the OC?  Recently, she has been stepping out of her shell and coming back into the limelight. 

She just launched Mischa's Place, a boho-inspired clothing e-commerce site, and apparently it's doing really well! Really well...as in pieces like the Mischa Signature jacket are completely sold out, and many others are 'flying off the shelves'.  What we're even more excited about is that the collection doesn't only include clothing, but also handbags, body butters, nail polishes, candles, scent mists, and lots more!

Some of the scent mists, which we are particularly into, are aqua mist, coco cinnamon, lemon zest and violet vision. You can snag these mists for $20 a pop at Mischa's Place.

Who else is really excited to click that link...go ahead, don't be bashful! We're totally content with being totally obsessed with Mischa again.
